The ancient Art of Encaustic is amazing- it allows for artistic freedom inspiring a variety of textures & dimension. Pigment, image transfers, photos, marking making and other techniques allow for variations in transparency & opacity.

I make Encaustic monotypes and use them on wood panels, for lamps and making message dolls. The encaustic mixed media pieces include paper, ink, found objects, natural material, drawings, & plaster in addition to encaustic medium.

Each panel or piece is one of a kind and tell a story.

The jewelry I make includes fine silver pods, leaves, flowers and twigs in addition to miniature wearable encaustic pieces.
